FitLife Coaching: Breaking a Scaling Plateau With a Unified Meta + Google Strategy

FitLife Coaching, an online fitness coaching business, had been running Meta Ads alone and had genuinely gotten good at it — but growth had flattened. Every attempt to scale spend past a certain point brought diminishing returns: cost per lead crept up, and monthly lead volume stayed stuck around 85, regardless of how much more they spent.
A single-platform ceiling is a real thing
This is one of the most common plateaus we see. A single ad platform has a finite pool of people actively receptive to your specific offer at any given time — push spend past what that pool can absorb, and the algorithm starts showing ads to progressively less-interested people, which is exactly what drives cost per lead up while volume stays flat.
What we did
- Added Google Ads (Search + YouTube) alongside the existing Meta campaigns, targeting people actively searching for coaching rather than only interrupting their feed
- Unified tracking across both platforms so we could see a single, accurate picture of cost-per-lead and lead quality regardless of source
- Built a full-funnel retargeting sequence that followed leads across both platforms instead of treating Meta and Google audiences as separate silos
The retargeting piece mattered more than it might sound like. Someone who saw a Meta ad but didn't convert would then see a Google Search ad when they later searched for a coaching program — and vice versa. That cross-platform consistency is very hard to replicate if you're only running one channel, no matter how well you run it.
The result, eight weeks later
- Monthly leads: 85 → 340
- Cost per lead: $45 → $22
- Ad spend efficiency: Low → High
The lesson here isn't "more platforms is always better" — it's that a plateau on one channel is often a ceiling problem, not an execution problem. No amount of optimizing a single Meta campaign was going to unlock a second pool of demand that only exists on Google.
